It’s that time of year again! Today, August 11th is officially my 26th birthday. I can say that this birthday is going much better than last year. On last year’s birthday post, I left you on a depressed note because that season of life was very difficult for me. This year though I’m feeling a lot better. It’s amazing how much difference a year can make.

We have finally almost made it through the first month of 2021! Cue the fireworks and celebration for surviving 2020! If I had known all of the things that would have happened last year, I probably wouldn’t have chosen “bliss” to be my word of the year in 2020. It was a tough year to live by the word bliss, but the more I reflected on my year, I found that there were plenty of nuggets of bliss. These nuggets of bliss meant my word wasn’t a total failure. Before I reveal my word of the year for 2021, let’s review how I lived by “bliss” in 2020.

Tomorrow on August 11th, I will officially be 24 years old. That seems like such a large, abstract number in my head. I know that in the grand scheme of things, 24 is not old at all, but I can tell you at 14, I had no idea what being 24 would be all about. Last year, I did a birthday post on 23 lessons I had learned before turning 23. However, this year I still feel like I’m learning my lessons, so I don’t have a lot to add. Instead of talking about the things I have learned, this year I want to thank myself for who I have become. Today I want to share with you 24 things I’m grateful to myself for accomplishing, in the hope that it will inspire you to think of things you’re grateful for in your own life.

When you have a ton of priorities, life can be hectic. I by no means have the busiest life, but I aim to fill my days with things that will help me become the person I want to be. There anything with this, except there is only so many hours in the day. With limited time after work, it is important for me to structure my evenings in a way that lets me be productive and feel good about myself.
In this blog post, I’m taking a break from my general writing content to discuss how I organize my life to be the most productive using the Erin Condren Petite Daily Planner.

Yesterday, March 8th, was International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is #balanceforbetter, meant to promote a future where both women and men are equal in professional status, media perception, positions held, and much more. This year for International Women’s Day, I wanted to ponder for a moment what it is like for me to be a woman in 2019.

I can honestly say that I have never shared my political opinion on social media or a blog. I have thought about it multiple times and a few suggestive posts have slipped out, but I believe that social media is for sharing positivity, not bashing or bringing other people down. However, many people have asked me questions on where I stand and I decided to write this blog post as the end all, be all of my political opinion on the internet.
